Crime Scene Cleaning

Crime scenes, especially violent crimes, assaults, home invasions or murders are a sad reality.

This may also include industrial accidents, medical incidents or a sudden or unexpected death. It’s important to have an experienced, discreet and compassionate team like ours on hand.

  • The term ‘crime scene cleaning’ is widely used in varying forms, not least due to exposure to television programmes and movies. It covers a broad spectrum of incidents (examples below) but can include all medical incidents and scenes of violent crime, through murder and suicide.

The term is often used to describe any situation involving blood or bodily fluid and is not always associated with crime.

It is highly unlikely that a standard domestic cleaning company will offer these services, but as specialists in biohazard and extreme cleaning, we provide precisely the services you need to clean up such a traumatic event.

  • Crime Scene Cleaning is required when specialist training, equipment and waste disposal is needed to tackle the cleaning task.

This level of cleaning requires specialist cleaning to address all presenting risks and to remove signs of a traumatic event, such as in properties:

    • affected by crime (e.g. break-ins with extensive damage, violent crimes with or without injury).

    • used for the growth and storage of illegal substances.

    • a sudden or unexpected death, due to medical reasons, trauma or self harm.

    • a medical incident resulting in bodily fluids such as blood, vomit, urine or faeces

    • traumatic injuries of any degree where a home, building or area has been affected.

    • affected by sharps, the need for a needle sweep or removal of paraphernalia.

    • an unattended death (where someone is not found for days, weeks or months)

Crime Scene cleaning almost always requires a decontamination process to help removes odours, as these can latch onto furniture and fittings. Items such as carpets and furnishings may require removal and correct disposal.
